Lock Proof

Lock team tokens in public. Every lock shows its unlock date and who can cancel it.

BetaEmbeddable

Beta. The lock transaction is built and simulated against the live chain. It has not yet been signed and sent from a real wallet on mainnet.

How it works

  1. The holder picks how many tokens to lock, an unlock date, and who can cancel or change the recipient. Those rights are shown in plain words before signing.

  2. Our server builds the Jupiter Lock transaction and the wallet signs it. The server then checks it, adds the second signature and sends it.

  3. The lock appears on the token's Lock Proof list with a live countdown and a link to its account on an explorer.

What a lock shows

  • The amount locked and its share of supply.
  • The unlock date or the vesting schedule, with a live countdown.
  • Who can cancel the lock and who can change its recipient, in plain words.
  • Where it was made (Jupiter Lock or Streamflow) and a link to its account.

What it costs

0.02 SOL per lock. It is paid inside the lock transaction. Viewing locks is free.

Good to know

  • Cancel and recipient change rights are set when the lock is created. A lock nobody can cancel stays locked until its date. A lock the creator can cancel shows that right on the list.
  • Jupiter Lock is a separate program run by Jupiter. It was audited by OtterSec and Sec3 and supports Token-2022. Jupiter can upgrade the program.
  • A lock can run from one day to ten years.
  • Locks made with Jupiter Lock or Streamflow show on the list when we can detect them. A lock made some other way may not.
  • A lock shows that tokens in that account cannot be sold before the date. It does not show that the team will not sell other tokens.
  • Lock Proof never says a token is safe.

Under the hood

  • Creating a lock uses Jupiter Lock's create vesting escrow v2 instruction, with the recipient, the schedule and the cancel and update modes you chose.
  • Our fee is a System Program transfer of 0.02 SOL to our treasury in the same transaction.
  • To list locks we read lock accounts owned by the Jupiter Lock and Streamflow programs and show each schedule.
  • The wallet that locks signs it. A one time key that only picks the lock's address adds the second signature on our server. That key holds nothing and has no rights over the lock.
